Anti-snap locks explained

Lock snapping is a burglary method where the cylinder in a uPVC or composite door is broken in two, exposing the mechanism.
Anti-snap cylinders have a sacrificial section that breaks away while the part that operates the lock stays protected.
Look for a British Standard kitemark and 3 stars on the face of the cylinder, or the TS007 marking.
Upgrading is usually a quick job and one of the most cost-effective security improvements for your home.
